BSRIA year end publications in 2022
The BSRIA publications team were busy up until the last remaining months of 2022 with their latest releases, some of which are outlined here, further article under BSRIA articles on Designing Buildings .
[edit] Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG 82/2022)
This guide explains the principles of pressurisation, the different types of equipment used, and the calculation procedures following both British and European standards.
[edit] Net Zero Carbon Buildings (NZG 1/2022)
This guide is published by the Net Zero Building Centre, a joint venture between BSRIA and London South Bank University. It defines the terminology of net zero and its implications for the built environment. It outlines the key issues in the design and performance of buildings.
[edit] Rethinking Sustainability in Facilities and Workplace Management
This book discusses sustainability within the facility management industry. However, it is not another anthology of so-called best practices and the seemingly endless range of certification schemes. It is also not a (marketing) guide on how to communicate high-pitched sustainability ambitions to potential customers to increase (short-term) market share.
[edit] Fire Safety Law: A Practical Guide for Leaseholders, Building-Owners and Conveyancers
Fire Safety Law provides building-owners, managers, individual leaseholders, mortgage-lenders, landlords, and anyone involved in the purchase or sale of a flat situated within a multi-occupied block, with practical, yet comprehensive and well-researched information regarding the subject of fire safety and the associated responsibilities, obligations and rights.
[edit] Resilient Building Retrofits: Combating the climate crisis
This radical book aims to inject new insight and urgency into the discourse on the retrofitting of commercial and residential buildings in the face of the climate emergency. It is about the why, how and who should take the lead in revolutionising buildings in the face of serious climate and social change.
[edit] Fire Safety Design for Tall Buildings
Fire Safety Design for Tall Buildings provides structural engineers, architects, and students with a systematic introduction to fire safety design for tall buildings based on current analysis methods, design guidelines, and codes. It covers almost all aspects of fire safety design that an engineer or an architect might encounter—such as performance-based design and the basic principles of fire development and heat transfer.
